About the publisher (new browser opens)

As a subscriber, every 10 days or so, you'll receive another issue of "Starting Smart", an Ezine for the newbie and semi-seasoned marketer. Usually, I'll include 1 article and/or introduction written by me, relating to online marketing.

Sometimes I'll include an article from another publisher (possibly in place of mine) but it will have to be pertinent and very useful to make it into an issue.

If I do include an article from someone else, the article will either be from a very bright "up and comer" or from a true online marketing expert, not from someone pretending to make it online.

Once in a while, I'll send a solo message to you. Any solo message relating to a new product will only be sent if I have thoroughly examined, purchased and used the product myself, no exceptions. Oh yeah, and I'll have to love the product. And in the message, I'll tell you exactly why I love it.

This is important: The relationship we build together is the most important piece of my online world...please, never forget that I value you as a subscriber and respect all your online efforts. I will only send emails to you that are from "Karl Augustine", when you see a mail from me, you'll know it is from me, no surprises.

Also, I will let you into my marketing life. I'll tell you what works for me, what didn't, and how I navigate, execute, fail, succeed, etc. I will pull no punches and will lay it out as it happens to me. So, you'll get somewhat of a "play by play" of how things are going for me. I simply refuse to write junk or lead on that I am a true expert making millions. I do run a profitable business but I can't retire...yet.

In certain issues of "Starting Smart!" I'll include product reviews. Whether the review is good or bad, I'll lay it on the line...hopefully I can save you some money and give you an inside look at products before you purchase them.

Note: There will never be any paid advertising in any issue of "Starting Smart!".

You won't see many banner adds, useless fluff, or anything else that is annoying "filler". I'll usually send a text version and there will always be an online version sent if you prefer that format. Sometimes the text version will get eaten by your email filter, especially if you have AOL, and that's ok, you should protect yourself from spam.

So, if you don't hear from me for a couple weeks, always click on the ezine archive page and you'll be able to see if your email filter snagged your edition of "Starting Smart!".

One thing to remember: While the free gifts the that you receive for subscribing (which are in the "Starting Smart" Community Chest) are nice to have, the value of the "Starting Smart" newsletter lies in the articles and direct responses to subscribers questions that may be in each issue. I won't necessarily say that the intro or article in each edition is in response from a subscriber, but they usually are.

Remember: Anyone can give away free gifts for subscribing to a newsletter or E-zine.The real value comes from smart articles and free information that will be useful to you. Please subscribe to get useful information in the issues of "Starting Smart!", don't subscribe for the free gifts. The useful free gifts for subscribing and the products in the "Starting Smart" Community Chest are a token of my appreciation to you for joining me in my online adventure.

I write my articles from real life experiences...experiences that will help you get where you want to be. Don't subscribe if you aren't serious about your online endeavor. Please don't subscribe if you aren't going to read the content of this e-zine. I spend a fair amount of time writing this e-zine so if you aren't going to read it, please don't subscribe. I'd like to have people subscribe to my newsletter because they want to explore, learn, and enjoy making money online.

Lots of other Internet marketers have told me I should charge for annual subscriptions to this e-zine but I haven't done that, not yet anyway...

So please, subscribe if you want real info. I guarantee this read will be fun and extremely useful for you. It's a way for you to live through the online journey with me, without paying for it.
